Apparently there are some problems to trigger the trips recording functionality for electric vehicles, or at least for mine which is a Huyndai Kona EV.
The settings in the dongle are the standard ones as shown here below:
I tried to use the community available RPM PIDs to trigger them, but in the events log there is nothing related to engine/running nor to motor/running.
In there I can only find vehicle/engine/not_running and vehicle/motor/not_running which could stop the trip logging but nothing valid to start them.
Is it impossible to use the Autopi trips functionality with Kona EV’s actually, or is it there any workaround?

I have problem with my Ioniq electric before to .
But after follow the set up guide for electric vehicle ( The 1 B example work for me , not the rpm).
After that i use this end and start tags in Trip settings, and it works just fine
