Just checking in as I’ve just placed an order for one of the new gen DIY kits. Whilst I’m waiting, I’m reading through the posts on this forum and some of them really prompt some thoughts.
The target vehicle is a Fiat Ducato motorhome, so I’m looking to integrate cameras to give rear view and reversing cameras, plus a forward camera for incident recording. I was just about to install a small Unifi setup to create a WLAN, but I may now just use the AutoPi.
Lastly, I use salt to manage the many Pi (and other) computers in the house, so I’m loving your creative use of saltstack. In a previous project (just a smart dash cam) I used my own master to manage the in-car unit, but of course I won’t be able to do that because the minion will be using your master.
