Autopi powering and ubuntu installation

I am using autopi 4G Edition with raspberry pi3 adapter…My question is, if we power up the autopi through external power supply, is it possible to install the Ubuntu to the raspberry pi3?

Welcome to the community and sorry for the late reply.

It is possible to install Ubuntu on the Raspberry Pi 3, however you would be missing the features that are included with the default installation on the AutoPi device and installing those functionalities is a relatively complex and labor intensive task, as the installation made on our devices is managed by saltstack. What you can do is to create an image of your current device and start copying over and installing all required software in order for it to run correctly and be able to connect to
