Which device number is the usb?

I am trying to interface to a usb bar code scanner that should be treated as a hid device. I also notice that the gps is using usb1 and I am wondering which device my usb bar code scanner will be using.

Hi, ssh into the Pi and enter lsusb to show USB devices connected and their allocated ports.
