Missing Modem prevents connection to Internet

AutoPi dongle working fine until 3 days ago, now it does not connect to the cloud… so I did a little digging.

Running cmd.run “qmi-manager status” gave me [WARN] Command failed with exit code 1: test -c /dev/cdc-wdm0

So then I ran cmd.run “lsusb” and I got 3 devices listed;

Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0424:rec00 Standard Microsystems Corp SMSC9512/9514 Fast Ethernet Adapter
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:9514 Standard Microsystems Corp SMC9514 Hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

No sign of the modem,…

Can you help resolve please?
