Hi , i wanted to test something with autopi which requires an advanced access the hardware part , i was wondering if it is an open hardware ? and where can i find source code that manages the dongle , is there any documentation about the core functionalities .
Hi @remou,
Unfortunately the hardware is not open source. The AutoPi Core (the software running on the device) is open source. You can find it here:
The documentation isn’t the best at the moment, but I recommend that you compare the files to the files located on your device.
If you want to know a little more about the GPIO access, you can see the pinout here:
Best of luck with the project.
kind regards,
Peter

Knowing there are some privacy constraints , can we redirect data to our clouds without interacting with yours ?
Hi @remou
Yes its possible to redirect the datastream if you like. Its just a configuration option that can be set on the device.
best,
Peter
