As far as I can know by reading all info, main functions of AutoPi generally rely on cloud connection. If there is no connection, AutoPi is quite useless. So how it could be used, if the cloud is discontinued and shut down for ever?
Asking this because cloud server run and maintenance is not free and there is no subscription fee. So one day AutoPi must be paid service or everyone must run his own cloud server?

This is one of the main reasons we made the AutoPi Core open source.
If, for some reason, we as a company would have to close operations, you can always do everything on your own by altering directly in the AutoPi Core. So you will never have a device that you can’t continue work with.
